DESCRIPTION:

In this unique opportunity, internationally renowned photographers will present their work, giving an insider's view of some of the most exciting photography being produced today. This is the second set of two photographer's talks organized by FotoWeek DC and Lucian Perkins. Each photographer will speak for about an hour.

Ernesto Bazan lived in Cuba from 1997 to 2006. He will show a multimedia piece about his life in Cuba as well as photographs from his most recent book on Cuba.

Matthew Niederhauser lives in Beijing and primarily documents youth culture and urban development in China. He will show work from his new book, Sound Kapita, about China's Rock Culture.

Iraqi Voices: Lori Grinker and Chris Hondros will show work from Iraq and the refugee exodus from there to other countries. Iraqi journalist Omar Fekeiki will join them for a round table discussion.
